Configure outgoing email so Basis can send documents and notifications to customers and suppliers.
Go to Administration → Email (or Settings → Email). Select a provider preset or enter custom SMTP details:

Click Save, then Test Connection to send a test email and verify the configuration works.
Go to Administration → Email Templates to customise the subject and body for each document type:
