Sales Invoices

Record sales to customers and track what is owed to your business.

List View

Go to Transactions → Sales Invoices. The list shows number, date, customer, reference, subtotal, tax, WHT, total AR, and delivery status. Use the search box and date range filters to narrow results.

Creating an Invoice

Click New Invoice and fill in the header:

Field Description
Date Invoice date (required)
Due Date Payment due date
Customer Select from your party list (required)
Reference Your internal or customer reference
Sales Order Link to an existing sales order (optional)
Currency Transaction currency (if multi-currency enabled)
Narration Internal note
Tax Basis Inclusive or exclusive of line price
Discount Type Line-level or total discount

Add line items — select an item, enter quantity, unit price, and discount. Tax and WHT are calculated automatically from the item's tax category.

Click Save to record the invoice. The entry is committed to the ledger immediately.

Actions

Action Description
Preview Generate a print-ready PDF
Create Credit Note Raise a credit note against this invoice
Edit Modify a saved invoice
Delete Remove the invoice (requires a reason)

Delivery Status

When the Sales Orders module is enabled, invoices linked to a sales order show a Delivery Status badge (Pending / Delivered) based on whether a delivery note exists.
